Highlanders Home Game Fundraising

Any New Zealand charity/organisation may apply to be the official game day charity at an upcoming Highlanders home game.

The chosen charity will have the opportunity to:

  • Raise funds at the game through donation buckets and selling match day team sheets (by way of gold coin donation);
  • Receive $1 of every ticket sold, using a specially created promo code;
  • Raise awareness of their charity/organisation via social media platforms and on game day big screens;
  • In addition, the Stonelake Foundation will contribute $1,000 to the chosen charity/organisation for every home game.

Please note:

  • There is an expectation that the chosen charity/organisation will provide volunteers to gather collections at the game.
  • The charity/organisation is required to provide digital/creative assets two weeks prior to game day (see details here).
  • Within 14 days after the game, provide an update of outcomes and feedback from this initiative.

HOW IT WORKS

WHAT’S REQUIRED

2-3 WEEKS BEFORE GAME
Provide Creative Assets

Charity/Organisation Logo (jpeg, png, eps)

EDM tile: 600x300px (this will be used on our website as well)

Big Screen Assets (at game): Tile: 1960x1080px

Video: 1960×1080 at 25 or 50 fps (MP4 or H264 MOV) (optional – only if you have something appropriate/available to use).

Plus a link for where/how electronic donations can be made.

A promo code for the game if you would be interested in sending out to your database. This would just be “St Johns” for example and each ticket purchased using this could would earn the charity $1.

GAME DAY
Donation Co-ordinators and Collectors

The Stonelake Foundation will provide fundraising bibs and buckets however it would be beneficial for all collectors to be in uniform (helps to visually communicate who is being fundraised for).

Collectors please meet outside Gate G at 6.15pm, one of the event staff will meet you there and bring you into the event to give you buckets and and bibs.

From there you will be deployed to each stand for gates open at 6.30pm and able to collect from 6.30pm until 7.45pm.

All bibs and buckets must be returned to the event staff (for ease of collection please have 2-4 people collect everything and return them to the event staff member at the event room (this will be pointed out on the night).

Once everything has been returned you are more than welcome to stay on and watch the game in a spare seat in North Stand, section 208/209.

2-3 WEEKS POST GAME
Follow Up and Feedback

The Stonelake Foundation seeks to successfully work in long term partnerships with local organisations and charities.

Within 14-21 days after the game, please provide an update of the outcomes and feedback from the Highlanders Home Game Fundraising.

The feedback received will help us in streamlining and continuously improving this fundraising initiative.

This information will be shared with the Highlanders and on the Stonelake Foundation website to ensure transparency and encourage other local charities to participate.
